Our Tru Trussardi glasses are from one of the most respected and established brands that we have on the website. Trussardi was launched more than a century ago in Italy in 1911 by Dante Trussardi, starting out as a company that made luxury gloves. Dante's grandson, Nicola, successfully diversified the company in the 1960's with a range of clothing and luxury accessories.

The company is very much a symbol of Italian quality. 1986 saw the brand open 'Palatrussardi' in the heart of Milan, a gathering place open to everyone - later that year, Frank Sinatra sang there. 2 years later saw Trussardi design some of the uniforms for the Italian squad travelling to Seoul for the Olympics. Nicola himself appeared in the Robert Altman fashion film, Prêt-à-Porter, in 1994. Now at the helm is Beatrice Trussardi who has a particular interest in environmental awareness and social responsibility, seeing her being invited to attend a conference by the World Economic Forum as one of 237 Young Global Leaders.
